PR 55 – World's eight best teams to vie for Super Final title in Belgrade

Eight of the world's water polo powerhouses are in Belgrade, Serbia, this week to fight for the FINA Water Polo World League Super Final crown, the last stage of the tournament which run from October 2018 until now.

From June 18-23, the best squads from the Intercontinental Cup - Australia, Canada, Japan and Kazakhstan will face the strongest European teams - Croatia, Hungary, Serbia and Spain.

PR 54 – DGP 2019: China rules in Bolzano; Cagnotto successfully comes back

Athletes from China earned five gold medals – out of 10 on offer – in the fifth leg of the 2019 FINA Diving Grand Prix, held in Bolzano (ITA), on June 14-16. The best representatives of the Asian delegation shone in two men’s events, and also won three out of the four women’s finals. The competition was also highlighted by the comeback to FINA competitions of local superstar Tania Cagnotto, silver medallist in the 3m synchro (with Francesca Dallape).

PR 53 – ASWS 2019: Ukraine excels in the Super Final in Budapest

The team of Ukraine largely dominated the 2019 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series Super Final, held in Budapest (HUN) from June 14-16, by earning seven gold medals out of the 10 titles at stake. The remaining victories went to Russia (two) and Spain (one).

Ukrainian star Marta Fiedina was the best in the Solo Free routine and successfully paired with Anastasiya Savchuk, winning the two duet finals (Technical and Free). The excellence of the Ukrainian squad was also rewarded by the judges in four more events: Team Technical and Free, Free Combination and Highlights.

PR 52 - MSWS: Rasovszky wins at home; Cunha gets third 2019 gold

Kristof Rasovszky, from Hungary, and Ana Marcela Cunha, representing Brazil, were the winners of the fourth leg of the 2019 FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series, held today in Lake Balaton (HUN). In home waters, the Magyar star completed the 10km in 1h50m12s7, while the South American ace was the best in the women’s category in 1h58m45s4. With these victories, both swimmers consolidated their lead of this season’s general ranking.

The Chinese divers excelled in the women's events this weekend in Madrid, Spain, at the fourth leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2019 as they clinched three gold medals out of four available in their category.

PR 50 – USA take 13th Water Polo World League Super Final crown

Team USA clinched its 13th FINA Water Polo World League crown on Sunday June 9 in Budapest, Hungary, defeating strong contender Italy. It was the fourth time these two teams have met in the gold medal match of the Super Final (previously in 2006, 2011, 2014).

The American powerhouse, also current Olympic and World title holder, narrowly beat Italy 10-9 for the gold medal with a tie in the first and the last quarters (2-2, 1-2, 4-2, 3-3).

PR 49 - Miyamoto takes first gold in Setubal, Cunha strikes again

The third leg of the FINA / CNSG Marathon Swim World Series 2019 in Setubal, Portugal, was won by Yohsuke Miyamoto from Japan and Brazil's Ana Marcela Cunha respectively.

Miyamoto clinched his first victory in the Series today, touching home in 1h34m44s4 and narrowly defeated veteran Andreas Waschburger of Germany (1h34m45s3). Argentina's Alejandro Moreno completed the podium today (1h34m48s0) in front of teammate Guillermo Bertola (1h34m51s6).

PR 48 – Eight strong teams aim at World League title in Budapest

Eight of the best teams in the planet are ready to contest in Budapest (HUN) the FINA Women’s Water Polo Super Final, taking place in the Magyar capital from June 4-9, 2019. The eight participating teams include the best of the Intercontinental Cup – United States, Australia, China and Canada -, but also the strongest European representatives – Netherlands, Russia, Hungary and Italy.

PR 47 – ASWS 2019: China dominates in Quebec; Ukraine and Russia shine in Barcelona

Action in the pool was intense this weekend, with two legs of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series in Quebec City (CAN), from May 30-Junie 1, and in Barcelona (ESP), from May 31-June 2. They were respectively the seventh and eighth event of the circuit, before the Super Final of the competition, taking place in Budapest (HUN) on June 14-16.

PR 46 – FINA Champions Swim Series 2019 comes to an end in Indy as athletes love new concept

The inaugural edition of the FINA Champions Swim Series came to an end tonight (June 1) in Indianapolis, USA, after a three-leg circuit which stopped in Guangzhou (CHN), Budapest (HUN) and in the American city with a long swimming tradition.

Seventeen Olympic and 20 World champions (for a total of 50 of the world's best swimmers) battled it out at the iconic Indiana University (IU) Natatorium in 28 individual events and two mixed relays.
